2205 First Avenue
New York, NY
The Latino elderly have the smallest rate of participation in the Food Stamps program, even though 2 out of 3 Latino seniors retired under or near the poverty line, which translates into over 200,000 Latino seniors in New York City. The Latino Center on Aging is offering a series of workshops to help Spanish speaking elderly to get much needed Food Stamps. The entire neighborhood is invited for free. Homebound elderly and/or their caregivers are welcome to attend our workshops.
