Senior Services

One of the largest providers of services to the elderly in East Harlem, we currently serve over 1,000 older adults at five senior centers (see below) located throughout East Harlem and 300 additional homebound seniors through our Meals-on-Wheels program.

We seek to meet the needs of our seniors through a wide range of activities, from congregate lunches to recreational trips, from bingo tournaments to arts and crafts. Our goal is to reduce feelings of isolation and encourage independent living. We promote self-reliance and independent living through group meals, nutrition education, telephone reassurance, excursions, education, recreation and friendly visits.
