Every child deserves to begin the school year prepared, confident, and excited about what lies ahead.
This year, Union Settlement’s Back-to-School Drive celebrates the theme Passport to Possibilities, recognizing that a strong educational foundation can open doors to new experiences, greater opportunities, and a brighter future.
For many East Harlem families, however, the cost of backpacks and school supplies creates an additional financial burden at an already expensive time of year. With the support of our community, Union Settlement will provide students with new backpacks filled with the essential supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn.
A gift of $100 provides five children with filled backpacks. Every backpack is more than a collection of school supplies it is a practical investment in a child’s education and a reminder that their community believes in their potential.
