Spring Benefit
Dear Friends of Union Settlement,
As you know, our highest priority is the health and safety of our program participants, staff and supporters, and so I am writing to inform you that, in light of the current circumstances, we unfortunately are canceling our Spring Benefit, which was scheduled to take place on April 21st at Gotham Hall.
Each year, our Spring Benefit raises critical funds that enable us to provide crucial services to the residents of East Harlem. This year’s gala was going to be an especially celebratory evening for us as we mark our 125th Anniversary.
However, even though our gala is canceled, the need for services in our community has only increased. People living in poverty will experience additional economic and medical risks related to this pandemic and its repercussions, and we hope we can count on you to make a gift to support this most vulnerable population. If you already bought a ticket or a table for our gala, we are happy to provide a full refund, but we hope that you will allow us to treat the purchase as a donation (and if you do so, the full amount of your purchase is now tax-deductible).
