Meet our Honorees

 

Arthur A. Klein, M.D.

President, Mount Sinai Health Network
Executive Vice President, Mount Sinai Health System

Arthur A. Klein, M.D. is a leader in health care management and President of the Mount Sinai Health Network. As President, he oversees the institution’s growing network of more than 150 clinical relationships, including 18 affiliated hospitals, five nursing homes, and 12 physician group practices throughout New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties. Dr. Klein also oversees national and international initiatives for Mount Sinai and serves as Executive Vice President of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Executive Vice President of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

A health care innovator, Dr. Klein collaborates with Mount Sinai Care, LLC, Mount Sinai’s Accountable Care Organization, to develop a framework for “best practices” that improves coordinated patient care. He is also directing Mount Sinai’s business development team and fostering relationships with Mount Sinai’s full-time and voluntary physicians and clinical staff.

Dr. Klein is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology and has written extensively on pediatric cardiology. He also serves, or has served, on a number of committees and boards, including the Board of Trustees of the Sackler School of Medicine/Tel Aviv University and the Board of Directors of the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc.

Ranjini Pillay

Senior Managing Director, Teneo Capital

Ranjini Pillay is a Senior Managing Director at Teneo Capital, the investment banking division of Teneo Holdings. She leads Teneo Cobbs Allen, a strategic partnership between Teneo Holdings, the global CEO advisory firm, and Cobbs Allen, a risk management firm providing structured solutions, commercial insurance, employee benefits, and alternative risk financing services.

Prior to this, Ms. Pillay spent 29 years at AIG. Her most recent job there was as head of Alternative Risk and Chief Underwriting Officer for AIG’s Multinational and Alternative Risk group, a division of AIG.

She received a Masters of International Affairs (M.I.A.) in International Banking and Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from John Cabot International College in Rome, Italy.

Ms. Pillay has been involved with a variety of non-profit organizations and industry groups. She was awarded the 2010 Asian Women In Business (AWIB) Corporate Leadership Award and the 2011 Woman of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Greater New York.

Paul Weiss has provided Union Settlement with pro bono legal assistance on a variety of matters for several years. This has included conducting legal research and providing legal advice to help ensure that Union Settlement receives proper payments on its government contracts, and successfully representing in negotiations on a contract matter that avoided the need for litigation.
